The Sinnoh Region
A humble, rustic town nestled in the Sinnoh countryside, flanked by forests. Lacking any real landmarks of note itself, Twinleaf Town's real claim to fame is being the settlement closest to Lake Verity, a idyllic lake that attracts vacationers and nature loves from all around.
A vibrant, beachside community where the salty scents of the sea are always wafting through the air. The pleasant weather makes for a welcoming community and, in recent years, has become sort of a nexus for travelers-- particularly Pokémon touting adventurers and similar sorts-- due to its being at a crossroads of popular land and sea routes. In addition, many consider it to be the Pokémon research center of Sinnoh due to the work of past researchers here and now numerous independent labs have taken up residence, causing a sort of boom of popularity for the town.
The city of joy. By far the largest city in Sinnoh and its oldest, Jubilife is host to a vast variety of businesses, amenities, and other popular activities. It is the beating heart of the region, with routes streaming into it from every direction, along with myriad people coming and going each day. Notably, Jubilife is also home of the most renowned Trainer School in the region and many trainers go there to get a leg up in their journey.
The city is also the media center of Sinnoh, making it a popular destination for trainers who seek to grow their personal glory as they take steps towards stardom in the League challenge or in Sinnoh's Pokémon Contest Conference.
The most industrious city in Sinnoh and home to the mighty Oreburgh City gym. Oreburgh is famous for its bountiful mines and illustrious museum, being a center for both those of physical might and mental fortitude. For those vagabonds looking to make a little money, there is always work to be had for an intrepid trainer in Oreburgh, be it research assistance or physical labor with one's Pokémon at their side.
A peaceful community surrounded by fields and meadows of beautiful flowers. Many of the region's berries are grown here, as well as some luxury goods. It also the last major settlement one can stop in before heading to Eterna Forest, making it a haven for adventurers looking to stock up. The local Valley Windworks also produces a large amount of power in Sinnoh, second only to the solar harvesting capabilities of Sunyshore City.
A bustling town with a strong connection to the feudal past of Sinnoh, numerous relics of the past have been found here, making it a hub of cultural studies. It is also home to the Eterna City Gym, attracting trainers en masse. The nearby cycling routes and easy access to Mount Coronet's trails also make it a hot spot for athletes and hikers.
Home to two centers of trainer activity, the Grand Contest Hall and the Hearthome City Gym, Hearthome never sees the end of new trainers taking to the city streets. Situated behind the Grand Contest Hall-- where the yearly Grand Finals of the Sinnoh Contest Conference are held-- is Amity Square, a Pokémon playground where trainers often take their Pokémon for a fun day out.
A large farming community, Solaceon is surrounded by miles of stretching farmland that is occasionally broken up by ancient ruins jutting up from the landscape, the most famous of which are the Solaceon Ruins, home to walls covered in ancient scripts that radiate an eerie energy.
Nearby is also the sombre Lost Tower, a Pokémon graveyard with a storied past.
A traditional town nestled in the mountains, Celestic Town offers little in the way of modern comforts, save for a bare bones Pokémon Center. Notably, this town does not have a Pokémart, and thus those wishing to restock must rely on the traditional crafts of local artisans or hope that the Pokémon Center has goods to spare. Many trainers use it as a pit stop whilst traversing the perilous mountains of the region, while scholars will travel here to study the ancient ruins. The town elders are very happy to share their knowledge with people who seek.
A rock hard town carved out of the mountains that were once upon a time battered by falling stars. This city hosts the Veilstone City Gym and is also home to an incredible night life with numerous activities including the Game Corner and the local department store, which is the largest shopping center in Sinnoh.
It also offers a train ride down to the Hotel Grand Lake, the premier vacation destination in Sinnoh off of Lake Valor with the ocean nearby as well.
A gloomy city nestled in the swamps of Sinnoh, home to the famed Great Marsh and Pastoria City Gym. While this city might not attract much in the way of sightseers, trainers come from all over as part of the League challenge and to use the Great Marsh safari zone to expand their roster of battle-ready Pokémon!
An industrious harbor city that is home to the Canalave City Gym. In addition to being a city of industry, it's also a city of education, as the largest library in Sinnoh is located here, meaning numerous universities and several smaller, less prestigious trainer schools have popped up in the city.
Many trainers also catch boats out to the abandoned mines or uncharted islands of the region in order to train, like the fearsome Iron Island.
A quiet town in the frozen north, Snowpoint is notable for three facts: being home to the Snowpoint City Gym, being the northernmost port in Sinnoh, and being the sight of an odd temple that still puzzles archaeologists to this day. Snowpoint is the city many League challengers find to be their stopping point: the harsh environment and lack of amenities scare off many an ill-suited challenger.
Nearby is also the secluded Lake Acuity, one of the great lakes of Sinnoh.
The happiest place in Sinnoh. A bustling port, a powerhouse in energy production, a titan in economy, and it has one of the fiercest battling scenes in Sinnoh due to it being the home of the Sunyshore City Gym. When trainers are not busy battling, many are found perusing the expansive street markets. When the yearly Pokemon League rolls around, the city swells to bursting as most trainers choose to disembark for the Pokemon League-- which takes place on the Lily of the Island Valley Island-- from this location, many electing to brave the infamous Victory Road as a rite of passage or a final bout of training before they seek to make their mark on history as the entire world watches.
Home to the Sinnoh Pokémon League, this island sits as a bastion of peace on the other side of Victory Road, a perilous seas and dangerous stretches of mountains and caves that rise defiantly above the ocean that separates the island from mainland Sinnoh. While numerous small villages make their home here, the real attraction is the bustling community that has risen up around the Pokemon League arenas, a sort of seasonal town that only truly comes alive when it is full of trainers and tourists attending the Pokemon League tournament.
