>>APPEARANCE: Darcy has light skin and amber eyes that almost appear to glow in the dark (this is just the reflection of visible light on her bright eyes). Her hair is an ashy-grey and is very messy/curly in appearance - especially with the one thick strand of darker grey hair. Her hair is thick enough to obscure her ears from sight majority of the time. She is often seen wearing raccoon-ear props on top of her head, and usually has dark grey face paint over her eyes.
Darcy can often be found wearing a light-grey t-shirt that has a very wide collar, enough that it'd fall off of her body were it not for the small black suspenders attached to it. Over top of this is a large orange and black hoodie with two belts tied around the right arm. There are two additional suspenders attached to the waist of the hoodie from front-to-back. She wears a light grey skirt, two knee-high black stockings (the left one is often loosely hanging down around her ankle, and black combat boots.
>>PERSONALITY: Darcy is what many would call two-faced. However she is a stout believer that everyone - herself included - actually has "three faces". She has the persona that she shows the public as the Gym Leader of Canalave City, the persona she shows her co-workers as a member of Team Nova Galactic, and the persona she shows only those closest to her and herself (her true persona).
Gym Leader Darcy has a love for pokemon battling. Having grown up in Po Town, Alola, she vowed to not be man-handled like most residents of the region are and aspired to be a great trainer like those from Kanto. She engages in pokemon battling whenever and almost always accepts challenges when she's in town. She aspires to teach others during her Gym Battles on how to surpass the known boundaries of battling and become greater than the brightest stars out there.
Admin Darcy vies for more political power within the organization of Nova Galactic. She isn't the brightest of the bunch but she is wise and wiley. She is pretty good at scheming and boasts a personality that is strong, aggressive, and unforgiving.
Darcy Moreau favours Dark-Types due to their mysterious and powerful personalities. When she isn't busy doing evil schemes or pretending to love battling, Darcy would claim that she has a deep care for anything and anyone that lies within her realm of "control". That is, her pokemon, the residents of Canalave, and the city itself, she has grown a deep love for and will do anything to protect them. Afterall, the only person allowed to tease or even harm anything that lives in Canalave is Darcy herself.
>>HISTORY: Darcy Moreau was born in Po Town, Alola region. With the exception of the residents of her town, she was surrounded by the life-loving locals of Alola. She was often encouraged to enjoy life as it is and not stress about things out of her control.
But she needed control.
Maybe Darcy was born under a malicious star, but she couldn't agree with the attitudes of those around her. It was probably that Po Town attitude, being walled off from the rest of the region may change one's perspective. Either way Darcy had bigger goals than just enjoying the simple life.
When she was 11 years old and allowed to have her Trainer's License she took the Island Challenge. She made the rounds through the four islands of Alola and eventually became an Island Challenge Champion. It wasn't enough for her though to simply conquer her local "championship". She wanted more out of life.
With her parents permission she moved to Sinnoh when she was 13 years old. Her first round at the new local championship ended up in failure. This wasn't due to a lack of skill, but a lack of resources. She was often sleeping in the wild, had very little money for food. Life as a trainer was hard. Because of the hardtimes she had found herself in, or maybe because they promised a future where she controlled more than just her own destiny, she was introduced to Team Nova Galactic. She had signed up as a grunt in order to get more out of life, and they delivered.
Because of her new found "home", she was able to battle her way through the local Sinnoh League and got her way up into the final eight in the tournament. Showing off her skill - especially doing so using only Dark-types, made her name known through the league and by the time she was 16 years old she was offered the position as the Canalave Gym Leader. Well.. In actuality she was offered the position at age 15, but she took a year as an intern learning from the previous leader before she was finally given the job.
Her identity as a member of Nova Galactic had been expertly kept a secret from the league. She restructured the Gym and made it challenging enough that not everyone could make it through except those truly dedicated to battling. At the same time, she dedicated a lot of time to helping Nova Team Galactic. She spent a lot of time giving aid to the city of Canalave to the point that she was the de facto Mayor while the true Mayor enjoyed life in luxury. During the hours of darkness she would help smuggle illegal goods in and out of the shipyard, all without being caught. Shortly after her 18th birthday she became an admin of Nova Galactic, and hopes to rise even higher throughout the years.
