Team Nova Galactic

Team Galactic. A band of various miscreants with a dream for a new world. Twenty years ago, they almost succeeded, their leader Cyrus having successfully breached the veil between worlds, the infinite power of the Legendary Pokemon of time and space within his grasp, our own reality becoming distorted as the wound in reality grew ever deeper. But they were stopped. A mysterious young trainer rose up and defeated Cyrus, putting an end to his plans, causing Team Galactic to be scattered to the winds. And despite the fact that much of the leadership escaped-- including the enigmatic Cyrus who seemingly disappeared into thin air-- the team itself as brought low and the region began to build back, better and stronger, hoping to prevent another incident like the Team Galactic Crisis from ever occurring again.

But history repeats itself.

In recent months, with exact dates being unclear, reports of a new criminal organization have been made. These rogues call themselves Team Nova Galactic and proclaim themselves to be the heirs of Team Galactic, stating their intent to create a new world. This group has been linked to numerous Pokemon thefts and acts of burglary, stealing large amounts of equipment, both for scientific work and gear for trainers. Little is known about this new organization publicly, as the leadership is very reclusive and this generation of grunts and administration values subtlety, especially in the face of a Sinnoh that is more equipped to defend itself.

Internally, Team Nova Galactic has a structure very similar to its predecessor, though slightly expanded upon. At the bottom, there are grunts, followed by captains, and above them are admins, and at the top is the leader of Team Nova Galactic, who is shrouded in mystery. Additionally, there is a research and development team comprised of numerous minds working on various projects for the team.

In recent months, Team Nova Galactic has been hard at work recruiting new members. One might wonder why someone would join the successors to the people who plunged the region into chaos decades ago. And the answer varies. Some join because they truly believe in the message of creating a new world, while others might take a more cynical approach and simply join in hopes of acquiring wealth or rare Pokemon. There are more reasons, but one thing is certain: Team Nova Galactic has found some measure of success in recruiting.

And for many people, the terrifying part is that this new team is not as flagrant as the old. Team Nova Galactic does not have the rigid uniform requirements of the old organization. Instead of requiring uniforms, new members are issued an insignia that may be worn as a badge, a key chain, or other accessory. This accessory is the symbol of the organization, a stylized "G", yellow in color. In addition to this, Nova Galactic members are offered a small stipend based on a culmination of rank, performance, and other factors.

Team Nova Galactic also owns a few buildings in Veilstone City, and this is the official base of operations for the group, though on the outside it simply looks like a simple office building. Inside, however, are numerous offices, labs, and barracks where Team Nova Galactic members are able to sleep if need be. Each admin has their own personal office, but, as some might notice, the leader of Team Nova Galactic does not visit the building. Instead, they prefer to shroud themselves in mystery and make contact with their admins over remote communication. Because of this, higher ranking members engage in some level of politicking, trying to tear each other down whilst trying to earn the favor of the leader so they they might expand their own fortune within the organization.
